Our Parish
Ministries
and Outreach
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Eucharistic Ministers share in the distribution of the Eucharist
(Communion) at all Sunday Masses and at special liturgical
celebrations in the parish. Ministers must be fully initiated adults
(Baptized, received Eucharist, Confirmed) and are invited to this
ministry by the Pastor and the Pastoral Staff. Training for this
ministry is required and provided by the Diocese.
Choir
The Immaculate Conception Church Adult Choir has an active
and significant role to play in the worship activities of our parish.
The Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings in the church. There
is a Children's Choir that rehearses as needed.
Lectors
The proclaiming of the WORD of God is vital to our Parish
worship and spiritual growth. Lectors need to have a comfort
with public speaking and with the Word of God. Training for
this ministry is required and provided by the Diocese. The Parish
sometimes offers additional training.
Altar Servers
Altar servers assist at Sunday Masses, Wedding, Funerals
and
all special liturgical celebrations in the Parish. Catholic girls
and boys from the sixth grade (school and religious education
programs) through high school may apply. Registration and
training is announced in the Fall of each year and servers
generally begin their new service during Lent.
Ushers
Ushers serve the parish community at all masses. Their
ministry
Their ministry is one of hospitality.

"O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have turned to you."
